Year R at Brooklands Museum - 'Are we there yet?'

On Friday 1st March, Reception children went to Brooklands Transport Museum. They were super excited in the lead up to this and were constantly asking how many sleeps until the school trip! When the day finally arrived, Badger and Fox class could not contain their excitement. They travelled by coach and explored the aeroplanes and buses within the museum. The children got the opportunity to walk on the plane that once belonged to His Majesty The Sultan of Oman Qaboos bin Said Al Said. It was very posh inside! Both classes had the chance to sit down in a plane and have their photo taken! The children then took part in a loopy gliders workshop making their own planes! Shortly after, both Fox and Badger class saw the different buses and even went inside one to have another picture taken! They had their lunch and then it was time to get back on the coach. The children were extremely tired but had such a wonderful day. They were well behaved and all staff and parent helpers were so happy with how they represented our school. Well done Badger and Fox Class!

Here are some comments that the children made throughout the day:

‘Thank you for taking us to Brooklands. This is the best day ever.’ - Faith

‘I am so excited that I have been on a real plane. The seats are very small!’- Lucas

‘WOW, look at this bus, it is so big, a double decker bus. It has two levels.’ - Miley
