Parent Puzzle

One of the aspects of Springfield which makes it such an extraordinary school is the care parents wider family members and staff, extend to all children, helping them to be the very best they can be. We are hugely proud of this partnership and know the positive difference that it makes each and every day.

All of our families are different, but each wants to give children the very best chance in life and in this, sometimes, being a parent can be the toughest job there is. To help support parents, the school is introducing the Parenting Puzzle. It is a programme which has historically operated from Children’s Centres, but with the recent closures, this had impacted on their capacity to run this highly regarded course.

The course is a 6 week programme (1 hour per week), starting on Tuesday 7th January 2020, from 2.00-3.00pm in the Brook. Sessions will be led by Mrs Sheehan and tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided, offering an informal opportunity to share ideas with each other about:

  • Personal power and self-esteem: choices and consequences
  • Feelings
  • Keeping children safe, including online safety
  • Ages and stages in helping children grow up

If you would like to be part of the Parenting Puzzle programme or are interested in future programmes, please speak with either Mrs Sheehan or Mrs Gibbins.
