School Newspaper - The Springfield Express

Welcome to The Springfield Top Ten!, Springfield Primary School’s pupil-led newspaper! Written and created by enthusiastic young journalists from Years 5 and 6, our newspaper celebrates the people, achievements, ideas and events that make our school such a special place.

Our team of young reporters work together to produce exciting articles and features for the whole Springfield community to enjoy. From discovering more about the people who make our school tick to sharing news, exploring new ideas and testing your knowledge, there is something for everyone to enjoy!

Our newspaper features a range of articles, including:

·  School news and events – keeping everyone up to date with what’s happening around Springfield.

·  Meet our Teachers! – finding out more about the people who help us learn every day.

·  Pupil voice and opinions – sharing ideas, celebrating achievements and giving pupils a voice.

·  Fun facts, quizzes and challenges – putting your knowledge to the test!

·  Special features and recommendations – discovering new interests, sharing ideas and exploring the world around us.

The Springfield Top Ten! gives pupils the opportunity to develop their writing, communication, teamwork and journalism skills while building confidence, creativity and a sense of responsibility. Most importantly, it gives our pupils a platform to share their voices and celebrate everything that makes Springfield Primary School unique.
